Spicejet knows to tell spicy lies to cheat you

I wish to share with you the atrocious behavior of your Manager at the Mumbai airport i.e. Mr Tarun Kalwadia.  If it had been my company I would have dismissed this chap for his filthy behavior. I have attached the CSIA email below also.


Let us start with the departure of SG804 at 22:15 from the Mumbai airport on 17-10-2013.  The flights scheduled time was 18:55 hrs. The captain after take off announced that at 14:00 hrs on 17th due to technical issues they had to replace air crafts due to which SG 803 to Goa took off at 18:45 hrs from Mumbai and therefore SG 804 was delayed for a take off to 22:00 hrs.


Which means that at 14:15 hrs itself Spicejet was aware that the takeoff for SG 804 has been delayed to 22:00 hrs. Now let us come to the lies told to us passengers. We first received SMSs one day prior at 19:14 that we have to reach the airport positively before 120 mts of the flight due to congestion.


Lie No 1 - Then on 17th at 16:09 hrs another SMS was received that flight has been rescheduled to 19:50hrs.


Lie No 2 - At 17:38 hrs when I check in I was told that flight is now rescheduled to 20:30 hrs.


Lie No 3 - The Tv screens at CSIA show SG 804 rescheduled departure time as 19:45 hrs.


Lie No 4 - At 17:48 hrs while clearing security another SMS was received that flight has been rescheduled to 20:55 hrs.


Lie No 5 -  The TV Screens show rescheduled departure time as 20:30 hrs.


Lie No 6- Gate No 6 staff of Mr Subash and a girl there with three other boys have written take off time for SG804 as 20:55 hrs. This gentleman was at the receiving end of the Delhi flight passengers which was supposed to have taken of at 16:00hrs.  There also he was telling lies and Mr Tarun Kalwadia was not coming and facing the passengers.


Lie No 7 - When a lady who was travelling alone complained that what is Spicejet doing about informing Kolkata airport authorities about late arrival of SG 804 and availability of Taxis there, Mr Subash lied and said that he is not qualified to sort out such issues.  Again Mr Tarun was missing.


Lie No 8 -  When I raised the issue of flight delays.


In case the passenger has checked in on time and SpiceJet expects delays as follows, it shall provide reasonable refreshments to such checked in passengers:


Delay of 2 hours or more from scheduled / revised departure time for flight having block time of up to two and a half hours. Delay of 3 hours or more from scheduled / revised departure time for flight having block time of more than two and a half hours and up to five hours.


Mr Subash got a few packets of Pulao and Khichidi (the choice was great) to be distributed. No announcement was made to the passengers. Nothing was written on the board that refreshments are being given and moreover no water, no tea, no coffee. Mr Tarun had buried himself  into a hole to keep away from the passengers.


Since passengers are not aware no one is served food. If passengers had not taken food why did Mr Tarun not come and convince passengers to have refreshments and who has this food.  One Mr Chintan, a 6 ft strapping young employee takes two packets wrapped in a newspaper with plastic spoons possibly for Mr Tarun to enjoy while passengers are suffering.


Lie No 9 - Now the departure time was revived to 22:00 hrs by Mr Subash who now gives a story of how the Goa aircraft was delayed at CSIA due to congestion for 55 mts. Lie No 10 - When agitated passengers ask for Mr Tarun to come there one Mr Santosh now covers up for Mr Tarun and says that he is busy talking to "real" passengers of SG 836 which was also delayed.  SG 804 passengers are not "real" passengers as per Mr Tarun.


Lie No 11- At 19:14 hrs another SMS lands up that flight is now rescheduled to 21:55 hrs. It was well known at 14:30 hrs itself that SG 804 would be delayed to 22:00 hrs.


Lie No 12 - When passengers create a scene for Mr Tarun and mr Vino Saldanha to come, the standard behavior of the staff is to speak on mobiles and show that they are busy.  Because Mr Tarun and Mr Vinod do not have the guts to face the public.


Lie No 13 -  When all passengers request that message be conveyed to Kolkata airport that some taxis be informed that flight is delayed, we were told lies that Kolkata has been informed.  When we landed at 00:55 hrs at Kolkata I spoke to the airport manager.  He clearly denied having received any information that some taxis be informed.


Lie No 14 - When passengers create a scene that is the time Pulao and Khichidi is served to some passengers. Again a lie is told that an announcement was made.  CSIA is a no announcement airport. Then they cover up by again speaking on mobiles.


Lie No 15 - The flight lands at 21:30 and Mr Tarun is still missing.  He was still speaking to "real" passengers and is very busy sorting out the situation of "real" passengers.


I think I have given enough proof of the lies and the behavior of Mr Tarun and his boss Mr Vinod.  Henceforth I and my staff of 845 doctors will not fly Spicejet.


But I give you 72 hrs time to reply to my email before I take up this issue with the media with video proof.
