I travelled on SpiceJet from Chennai to Delhi in December ’08. I am a budget traveller and not a frequent flier. To me reaching my destination in time always remanis the top priority.
I found the punctuality of the airline really exemplary and needless to say the basic purpose of an LCC is served if it can carry the passengers to their destination in the shortest possible time without delay and hassles as flight cancellation etc.
The airport attendants as well as the in-flight attendants of the airline were polite and helpful, but stickler for rules. Baggage check in and self check in etc. were quite smooth. Their set-up for generating boarding passes acoording to the requirements of the passengers is quite good.
The flight seating space was however congested and absolutely no-frills were provided. They should atleast provide some newspapers and drinking water as complementry material. Also the paid food needs to have more variety and may be slightly more reasonable cost.All-In-All a good LCC but can improvise their services or can reduce fares further to compensate for the same and attract still more passengers.
