I reached the airport 45 mins before departure of my flight. In usual cases, and it has happened many times before, all airlines let you in even 30 mins before departure and intend to assist you when you have limited time.
The SpiceJet ground staff made me wait in the wrong queue for more than 10 mins although I repeatedly gave them my flight details and requested them to expedite the process.
When I was finally directed to the counter which deals with these issues, they dint even speak to me, behaved as if I dont exist. Just told their junior to show me the way to the exit. I tried speaking to the manager also, but he just refused to speak. The least he could have done, is apologize for his ground staffs negligence.
I think they do this deliberately, as there was a long queue of passengers who missed their flights in the SpiceJet reservation counter and this was not the case with any other airline. They make at least 8-10k out of every missed flight, as the price difference is usually huge! I think its time they realize that its as important for them to be customer centric as any other hospitality brand. Or how do you choose between airlines? Prices of all the budget airlines is more or less the same.
Im never going to travel with SpiceJet again.
