I cant find words to describe the movie...Simply put it as ’’Awesome’’ ’’Wonderful’’ ’’Amazing’’..Wow!
I was waiting for this movie for so many months now...And believe me, it was worth waiting..
A huge relief from all those stupid boring bollywood movies which I am getting tired of...try a million times, bollywood cant make a spiderman..
The movie now...
The second part has more emotional drama than action...and dun be disappointed, coz it perfectly sets up the stage for hard boiled action scenes..And when they come, u are gonna love them..
So heres peter parker, hes losing MJ, losing his job, losing his grades in school, and he cant just set up a balance between Peter Parker & Spiderman...MJ is going with John Jameson (the astronaut, son of the editor), Harry still hates Spiderman & is beginning to hate Peter too coz he thinx that PP knows Spiderman...Add to that the financial problems that the boy has to face, he doesnt have even 50 cents to use the telephone, his aunt May is served with a court notice on their house coz they havent paid for it or whatever...
Enter Molina..Doctor Octavious...A nice guy who plans to give mankind - the ultimate source of free energy - Nuclear Fusion..
He works with Oscorp & Harry..He uses 4 mechanical arms which are connected to his brain & spinal cord, to control the fusion coz he cannot use his arms...But an accident takes place & the microchip, that prevents the arms to dominate his brain, is lost...His lovely wife whom he loved so so much is also killed in the accident..
Now he becomes Dr.Octopus, who has only one aim, to complete what he left - Fusion..But for that he needs tritium, and for that he needs money...So he robs bank, create havoc and finally sets up a deal with Harry...Spiderman for Tritium...
But wheres Spiderman? He quits..After failing to play both roles equally, Peter dumps his spidey suit, and he now wants to be just Peter parker...He wants to talk to MJ, but no, shes announced her marriage to John..Peter’s heartbroken, and he loses his powers..he cant spin webs, cant scale walls..spiderman is no more...
But then, Dr.Ock wants Spiderman, so he catches Peter (he took a lot of pictures of spiderman as a photographer, and people believe that he knows spiderman)..Ock also takes MJ with him...
Now, Peter is furious, he is absolutely furious....U r gonna love this sequence, when his fuming with anger & his powers come back...he takes his spidey suit, and heads to Ock...
bang-boong....bang...Action sequences start, and man! They are awesome!!!
The best scene for me was when spiderman stops an out of control train (thanx to Doc Ock), which is speeding towards destruction...How he stops the train & how people react to him (hes without a mask here) is heart warming....
In the end, Doc ock again becomes the nice guy, and destroys the fusion process to save the city doing which he dies...MJ comes to know that Peter is spiderman, and she dumps John...
In the end, Harry accidentally discovers the lab in which the green goblin was born, and the plot is left here incomplete (for Spiderman 3)..
MJ is back with Peter, and its a happy ending!
I have seen the movie thrice, and I think I may be heading to the theatre once more...AN ABSOLUTE MUST FOR EVERYONE!!!
The best movie of 2004 for sure...I love Sam Raimi, hes a genius!!
