Hero or Human ?

So I was in Chandigarh this weekend, and happened to catch this masterpiece of sorts. I was lucky enough to have the love of my life right next to me while enjoying this movie. If I mention her name I’ll be surely beaten into a pulp, so I’d best leave it out :D. I have many more reviews to write !! ;)

I think it started with ’’The Incredible Hulk’’. I believe it was the first comic hero brought to life which portrayed the Human side of a super hero. To the extent that you start feeling sorry for him and would almost want him to take a break, or even give up! The latest dose of Spiderman brings us the same. Sure there are bad guys and good guys, lovers and family members, life and death, etc ... The world takes for granted that a human, when given special powers with use them either for the good of mankind, or to simply take over the world!

This movie, however, deals with a lot more. Let’s have a round up of all problems that have made our wall-crawlin dude.. well ... more human ;). Where else would a die-hard romantic, such as myself start but at the ’’heart’’ of the problem. MJ; Spiderman ( Peter Parker’s) love. Spidey’s high school love has moved on to become a broadway star on the famous ’’The Importance of being Earnest’’. She also happens to be seeing someone (other than spidey) in this movie.

Let’s not unveil the mystery for those who haven’t seen the movie yet :D. Then I guess, the next biggest ’’mental block’’ that our superhero has is the murder of his Uncle Ben, for which he holds himself responsible. He is, in a way, but also there was no way that he could’ve known about this. Another brick in the wall, nonetheless. Then would come his career that is going nowhere.

Parker is an exceptionally brilliant student, however due to his secret life he is unable to pay attention to his studies or job, which puts him in a shithole, pardon my french. Ok so this is getting to be really long. Time to wind up then. I just hate long reviews!! What I’m basically getting at, is that our dear spidey decides to ’’give up’’ being a super-hero and give a shot at being Peter Parker 24x7 and things do start looking up. Except on the love front, obviously :). However, a Hero does not choose his destiny, his destiny chooses him! By the same logic, can a hero give up his destiny ??

Eventually guilt gets to him and no longer can he not be the one who he is destined to be! And the city is a much safer place. Heroes and Villains apart, my fav character has always been James Jonna Jameson, the newspaper editor. I didn’t really like the first wave. However, this second part is ’’must-watch’’ folks ! So go on and enjoy this flick with someone you love .

P.S. - I had the whole thing paragraphed n all, however it just said I was logged out for security reasons and showed me the whole thing as 1 huge para. Didn’t have the heart to go thru it again. Sorry :(
