Spiderman is a beloved character, and most remember the cartoons and the original trilogy as the standards to compare every other representation of the character. This movie does well on humour and human stories, but falters on some key issues:

Very, very bad cinematography of the last fight scene. It was too dark, and no one could make out what was going on.

Not enough spidy action: We don’t see much of web slinging in NYC. Rather, there are plenty of scenes, both action and humor, that occur in other venues.

A well cast villain, but not given enough screen time or importance.
