Much hiped, all pridictable!!!!

So, I finally saw it yesterday. I personally think it is the worse of all three movies. The effects were great, but the storyline was not appealing.

The story involves a comet conveniently falling from the sky, almost right next to our friendly neighborhood spiderman, where he was making out with MJ. Of all the places the comet could have landed, it landed in New York, right beside Peter Parker. Well okay, I can accept that. But unfortunately, at the same time, we also happen to have a convict falling into a particle physics research facility and gets himself turned into sand. Two of the most unlikely things to happen just happened at the same period of time. We also have Harry who appears to be superhuman now because he entered the gaseous chamber which gave his father superhuman strength. So now Harry is incredibly strong, being able to collapse an entire concrete wall with just one hand, but gets knocked out after taking a few left and right hits at the surrounding walls. Gosh, he could almost punch through an entire concrete building, but faints after taking a few knocks to his head, which I think would be like an ant bite for someone who can destroy buildings. Talk about physical unproportionality. So once again, the incidents tend to be a little too convenient instead of logical. Then after that Harry loses his short term memory and forgets his hatred for Peter, only for that hatred to kick back in at the end of the show. Talk about convenience! And to make matters worse, Peter was on top of the cathedral when he tried to get rid of his black suit. And once again, conveniently, Eddie was right below to receive the symbiote.

All these things appear to be too much of a coincidence, giving you the impression that they were conveniently introduced just so that the story can come together within two and a half hours. I think this approach of having 3 villains in one show is a bad idea. All of the battle scenes ended abruptly. Even the last supposedly epic battle leaves much more to be desired. Spiderman’s arch-nemesis Venom dies a little too fast and too easily, failing to portray himself as a true nemesis to Spiderman. Oh yah, to get back to the whole convenience thing, Flint Marko is now CONVENIENTLY Uncle Ben’s killer. So now there is a flashback of him asking Uncle Ben to get out of the car, Uncle Ben resisted a little, and when Marko’s heist partner rushed out and indicated that they had to leave quickly, Marko shot Ben out of reaction. When will it stop.

And finally, many of you will definitely look up my profile to find out what kind of’fan’ I am. So to let you guys know beforehand, yes, I am a transformers fan. But I preferred Spidey 1 & 2 more than this one. Raimi introduced too many things too conveniently until the plot becomes ridiculous.
