Spiga’s is located next to ffolio on Vittal Mallya road off St. Marks Road. There is a small brown sign board indicating the restaurant and one needs to climb up one flight of stairs to reach the restaurant. No lifts are available, and the access is not disable friendly.
That said, the food is great and the service even better. They have a choice of Italian, Mexican, "European"(mostly steaks) and Thai food . The Thai and Mexican offerings are limited, but there is a lot to choose from in the Italian and European section. Spiga’s offers most meats: chicken, lamb, beef, fish, shrimps etc.
The Mexican Chimiochanga and the Butter Garlic Steak are two favourites here.
There is a wide selection of sandwiches and salads as well, both of which are quite filling and tasty as well.
For the vegetarians, there is a limited choice, though whatever is there is pretty good.
The ginger lemon juice are famous here, but ask the waiter for it cold if you are particular about the temperature.
the good thing about Spiga’s is that they dont rush the patrons. I was waiting for a friend for about 20 mins and then we had a leisurely lunch for over an hour: all this while there was a queue outside, but never did the waiter complain or even hint that we should be moving.
My pet peeve here is that they dont serve iced (or any other type of) tea, but the ginger lemon juice is quite an acceptable substitute.
Carry change with you when you go as they dont often have any.
Meal for 2 with dessert will cost abt 550/- (they dont serve alcohool here)
