Spinny's unprofessional, unethical buyback process

With great disappointment and displeasure, we wish to share our extremely terrible experience with Spinny buyback and their utmost unprofessional, unethical and careless approach taken during the process.


Below is the factual summary of our terrible experience with Spinny.


We bought the car from Spinny 7 Jul 2021 and the assured buyback price of the car within 12 months was Rs.3, 66, 000.


We claimed buyback in Jun 2022 and doorstep evaluation of the car was done on 13 Jun 2022.


Since Jun 13 2022, we have been chasing Spinny to give us a buyback price but no one responded to our request. We raised multiple queries on Spinny website but no one cared to resolve the issue. The strange thing with Spinny website is that when you raise a query, you get an automated response saying "Our customer support executives will contact you within 24 hours to resolve your query" and irrespective of whether anyone contacts you or not, the query gets expired or resolved automatically.


After waiting for almost a month, we finally posted our experience on social media and then Mr. Surya Deep contacted us on 8 Jul 2022 and offered us a price of Rs. 3, 44, 000 but assured us that he will get back to us with a better price and compensate us due to the delay from Spinny’s side. Strangely, on 9 Jul 2022, Mr. Surya Deep along with Mr. Kartik called us and offered a lower price of Rs. 3, 17, 000. The price of Rs. 3, 44, 000 given by Mr. Surya expired within a day. When we expressed our shock and disappointment, Mr. Kartik assured us that he will work this out and get back to us within 24 hours. On 10 Jul 2022, Mr. Kartik called us and offered a still lower price of Rs. 3, 15, 000.


It was ironic that on one hand they were admitting their fault and talking about customer satisfaction, but they did not give us any explanation or reason as to why the customer should bear the loss due to their unprofessionalism and unresponsiveness.


We believe that Spinny intentionally waited for the Warranty Coverage(1 year Warranty on Engine and Transmission) to expire and then gave a low price with lame excuses. This is how Spinny is following unethical practices and cheating the customers.


When we raised these concerns and questioned Mr. Kartik he assured us that he will talk to his seniors and get back to us with a better price within 24 hours.


We did not hear from Mr. Kartik on 11 Jul 2022.


Today, on 12 Jul 2022, Mr. Surya Deep called us and gave a final price of Rs. 3, 17, 000 without giving any explanation or reasoning.


We refused to accept such a low price and the call was disconnected by Spinny.
