Spirit Soundtrack

This is a very unique Soundtrack - a collaboration of Hans Zimmer and Bryan Adams. The highly acclaimed Hans Zimmer has to his credit scores of Gladiator, The Rock, Pearl Harbour, Lion King etc.

I was totally in awe of him when I noticed the sheer brilliance of his work in ’Gladiator’. He magnified the impact of the scenes several times just by his background score!

I expected ’Spirit’ to be at par with Lion King since it had the same theme. But he proved me wrong by outdoing ’Lion King’. Believe me this soundtrack is par excellence..!

What makes me think so? Ok let’s analyse.

Well, there is Bryan Adams who, even with his coarse voice manages to reach one’s heart by tracks like ’Here I Am’, ’I will always return’, ’Get off my back’ and ’Brother’s under the sun’ The instrumental tracks of ’Run free’ and ’Rain’ were just too good. It’s amazing how Hans Zimmer takes you in another world by conjuring imagery of nature in your mind. Some may think that Bryan adams is not suitable for this type of music. But I think his voice blends well with the orchestra. He still has that emotional depth in this voice. And he has penned great lyrics and given beautiful tunes, which doesn’t give this soundtrack the tag of a children’s album.

Though 1 or 2 songs will be reminiscent of his earlier work. But that doesn’t matter. They are still GOOD..! ’Brother’s under the sun’ and ’Here I am’ are very touching songs. So if you want nice, relaxing and soothing experience than this is the music for your nerves and I am sure it will be far from getting on your nerves.
