I go there every saturday I can. And for good reason!
The DJ knows what he is doing, for one! This alone, actually, rules out 99% of all hang outs in Mumbai. No bhangra here, ladies and gentlemen. Dire straits lilts through the air, laden with smoke, and cheers going up every now and then with a goal being scored here, a wicket going down there, or an amateur actually pocketing a ball at the pool table!
Excellent decor, reasonable prices, and the basketball corner is what adds to the ambience.
But the king, without question, is Karaoke. I was shocked last weekend, to hear this has been shut! A heart break for me, this certainly takes away much of the Sports bar’s charm.
Still, a must go for lovers of chilled beer, high octane sports, goood music, and an unassuming interior.
Thumbs up for the ’Sports Bar’.
