I had a good laugh seeing this ad because and I really liked it because of 2 reasons: one because it was very hilarious and second because it was smart marketing.
Cola companies spend so much money and energy thinking on new concepts to fool the customers and here Sprite just waits and watches. Any new ad that comes up it only takes a dig at that, and a funny one at that.
Anyway, I dont think that these ads affect us in a major way because mostly everybody has had their tastes decided and whatever anybody does no one can touch Coke and Pepsi on popularity and wide acceptability.
Why then do we see new ads coming out every now and then? Well, its a mystery, but the only possible answer is that the companies count on the curiousity level of the viewers. And it helps in the begining because when we see a pleasant and a good ad we do think of trying the product as I am sure many of us would have tried Dew and Sprite seeing their ads. But after that the product is on its own and no amount of publicity or advertisements can help them.
So the most appropriate way to go ahead is to make a terrific ad but make the product even more terrific, otherwise............ I ALSO DONT WANNA DO
