As Onabreak pointed out in another review of Sprite, Sprite does leave a strange aftertaste. For this reason, I don’t drink it by itself. However, Sprite is an excellent mixer for different types of liquor, especially the flavored Schnapp’s. A glass of Spite with some Peppermint Schnapp’s or a fruity Schnapp’s like banana or peach is a wonderfully refreshing drink! The Sprite dilutes the strength of the liquor, and you’re left with a fizzy, deliciously flavored drink. Sprite is also a great way to make wine spritzers at home. If you end up with a bottle of wine that’s a little to ’’heavy’’ to enjoy by itself, mix it with Sprite.
Sprite is manufactured by the Coca Cola Corporation and is available in 12 ounce cans, 20 ounce bottles, 1, 2 and 3 liter bottles, along with six packs of the smaller sizes. The prices range from about .75 cents a can to $1.99 for a three liter bottle. Sometimes a generic lemon-lime soda can be used as a mixer, but you have to be careful. A lot of them have a very strong lemon-lime flavor which will totally ruin the taste of a mixed drink.
Sprite is also handy to have around if you have kids with upset stomachs. Besides replacing fluid that is lost, Sprite will provide sugar (needed if you child can’t hold down food), and sodium which is lost rapidly if your child is vomiting. Sprite may be expensive, but it’s much cheaper than Pedialyte.
