SDM College of Engineering and Technology , Dharwad offers bachelor degree programmes in Electrical, EC, CS, IT, Civil, Mech & Chemical at present.Those days affilated to Karnatak university ( KUD )Dharwad, having very good and tough syllabus, now it is affilated to VTU. I was student of SDM in 90’s. At that time Electrical, civil & Mech were having good faculty.The college has beautiful campus with playground, hostels, equipped laboratories. Entertainment in those days were movie theatres ( around 35 if I am not wrong ) in Dharwad and its twin city Hubli , showing mainly Kannada, Hindi & English movies. Administration was good but for princy.Hostel food was okay .
Other past time were roaming around Karnatak college , Karnatak University & Agriculture University which had vast campuses.Fundamentals were taught properly.Extra curricular activities then were limited due to restriction imposed by KUD ( said for security reasons ! ).There was discipline imposed in college as well as hostel ( Door wee closed at 9 PM )
