Cisco Sri Sakthi Institute of Engineering & Technology has signed a MoU with CISCO for the running of an Extension Counter at the premises. This alliance will pave the way for the institution to offer training programs on CISCO Certified Network Associate“- a Certification program offered by CISCO. The Institution envisages aims to transform the current setup into an Academy in the days to come. Oracle Workforce development program Sri Sakthi Institute of Engineering has chalked out a MOU with Oracle India Pvt Ltd to provide the “workforce Development Program” for its students. As per terms of the agreement Oracle India Private Limited will provide technical support courses relevant to Introduction to Oracle 9i Program with PL/SQL, Oracle 9i DBA fundamentals I, Oracle 9i DBA fundamentals II, Oracle 9i performance tuning, and Oracle 9i forms developer; Build internet applications.
The MoU with Oracle benefits not only the students but also to the entire gamut of the faculty Personnel of SSIET owing to its periodic training to the deputed faculty on its course offerings. These courses enhance the overall profile of the students and ensures industry readiness. We have long believed that the education of our nation’s children should be the result of a strong international-state-local partnership.
Kyrgyz state technical university
Our academic tie-up with Kyrgyz State Technical University, which eventually paved the way for establishing “Indo-Kyrgyz IT Research and Training Centre”, has heralded a new dawn in IT engineering. Dr. S. Thangavelu, Chairman of our Institute, and Murataly Djamanbaev, the Rector of the University asserted about the uniqueness and also the fact that an Indian College was setting up an Information Technology(IT) centre in an University that was situated in a foreign country.
According to the MOU, the Kyrgyz University will allow space to set up the infrastructure eventually to culminate into finishing school for their students. Courses in Digital Signal Processing, Embedded Systems and industry automation will be incorporated for a period of six to twelve months for industry preparedness. Faculty Personnel from India would be conducting classes for graduates of the University with strength of 13, 000 students comprising in 40 disciplines. In course of time the Centre contemplates to include more courses for professionals in Banks, Industry and governmental Organizations. An impending arrangement that will pave way for both the institutions to mutually benefit given their strengths collectively. The Memorandum of Understanding also undermines the need for exchanges and co operative initiatives in some of the important spheres such as teaching, research and outreach.
Tamilnadu Agricultural University We have the privilege to be part of the research initiative with one of the leading agricultural Universities in this part of the world, the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. The agreement encompasses research activities in the areas of green fuel, bio energy, energy conservation, auditing, fuel cells, hydrogen production and storage etc.,
The institutions will be the host to national and international level seminars and conferences on the renewable energy sources and applications and their impact on future. BSNL Sri Sakthi Institute of Engineering and technology has signerd an agreement with the nation’s largest telecom service provider BSNL to provide the entire gamut of telecom services including basic telephony, mobile telephony, broadband technology services, and internet and VSAT services on most preferred vendor basis.
This agreement with BSNL also entails the students to undergo training at BSNL facilities by means of industrial visits, technical seminars, conferences and workshops for students as well as the faculty of our college. We were one of the first few institutions in Tamil Nadu to tie-up with BSNL
Red Hat This association with Red hat enterprise is to facilitate the training and certification of the students in Red Hat Certified Engineer(RHCE). Red Hat Certified Engineer(RHCE) is a performance-based test that measures actual competency on live systems. Called the "crown jewel of Linux certifications, " RHCE proves an individual’s ability to configure networking services and security on servers running a Red Hat OS. RHCE was recently named the hottest certification in all of IT by CertCities.com. Codissia Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology has entered into an MoU with CODISSIA(Coimbatore District Small Industries Association) to enrich the industry institute interaction. The students have access to all the member companies via CODISSIA for guidance on projects and industrial visits. Tessolve Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology has signed a MoU with Tessolve to offer the 2-semester integrated training program “Diploma in Embedded and Wireless Technology” to SIET students. The same course is offered by Tessolve in Chennai in collaboration with ELCOT. The faculty members of SIET are trained by Tessolve. Tessolve also performs quality checks on students training, conducts on-line test for the students and issues graded certificates. This is the first time such a course is offered in an engineering college at a very affordable cost.
The program will greatly benefit the engineering students who want to shape up their career in the embedded domain. This program is also designed to reduce the cost incurred in the recruitment and training process of industries.
The possible career paths available for the students after this course are - embedded software developer, test development engineer, product support engineer, system engineer, entrepreneur, commissioning engineer and consultant.
