Sri Sri University in state Odisha was established in the year 2009 at Bidyadharpur near Cuttack. It spreads over a land measuring 187 acres allotted by Government of Odisha. In a span of 6 years, it has become extremely popular and as of today, there are approximately 10, 000 students pursuing their studies in different disciplines with around 2000 staff members including teaching and non teaching categories.
Academic Programs: There are bachelor courses in commerce, business administration, architecture, tourism along with cultural categories like Odissi, Hindustani vocal, Painting and Yoga courses. It also offers master’s courses like M.A., M. Sc., MBA in different disciplines.
Administration: This university is run by a private administration with Dr. A. Lakshman Rao as the President and Dr. Nand Lal as the vice chancellor.
Faculties: There are 7 faculties including general science, social science, architecture, media studies, health management, commerce and management.
Environment: I had been to this wonderful place three to four years back when Pundit Sri Sri Ravi Shankar visited it and there was a huge gathering for a program on Ar of Living and I must say that it is an extremely beautiful place residing on a hill top with natural beauty around.
Student Facilities: There are hostel facilities for the students right in the campus. The campus recruitment for the graduates has also got a good response as of today. Most importantly, students of very good standard get admitted to this university and it tells all about the stature of the university. The university administration is also planning to introduce technical degree courses soon as I have been informed by one of my colleagues working there.
