This airport has a very high security being in the state of Kashmir, while entering the airport.
There is security check at the gate itself of all the luggage and then only entry is permitted inside, then inside after the check in formality, you will be asked to identify your luggage in the cargo section before loading it into the aircraft.
The airport lacked cleanliness and was not upto the standard of an airport.Flight delays is a major problem at this location which leads to ling waiting hours and only a few LCD tv’s on for the passengers waiting. Wifi at airport is of no use to almost 80% travelers as Prepaid mobile connections are banned in the Kashmir state as a result OTP verification cannot be done for using the wifi and thus getting bored at this airport with a very few options left to keep yourself busy.
