I want to share my experience of travelling to srinagar. I went to srinagar by road from jammu. It is a 300 long route with areas where construction is going on therefore the road was very dusty. When I reached near srinagar there were many stones on the road which were thrown by stone pelters and the road was in a very bad condition. Srinagar was used to be heaven on earth but the stone pelters have made it a hell. The government is also not maintaining the beauty of srinagar. I stayed in house boat in dal lake but the condition of houseboats are really bad now. The dal lake has also many weeds in it and therefore the water of the lake has become green. The temperature of srinagar in summers was used to be very good and not hot but because of pollution and no efforts from the government now we require ac in srinagar. The government has to take steps otherwise srinagar would really become a hell.
