Sorry State of Service from Croma- Belapur

I would like to bring to your notice the negligence in service standards at the Croma store at Belapur (Navi Mumbai).


I had bought electronic goods worth Rs 64, 000/- on 26th Feb 2011 from the store. Post purchase of the items there has been tremendous negligence and delay of service from the store staff -right from the delivery of the goods till the installation & demo of the items purchased.


First and foremost the delivery which was promised by noon on the 27th Feb was delivered after 7:30 /8 pm after indefinite follow ups.


When the truck arrived , one of the items (Microwave Oven) was missing where the delivery staff was not informed about the purchase.


We had to then rush to the Croma store where the staff gave us the wrong model first and we had to rush back again to exchange the same for the appropriate model being ordered.


Then came the installation of the Croma LCD which was delayed for more than a week and was done after indefinite follows up and visit to the Croma Store.


This was not the end . Post this when we opened the microwave oven at home, we found a dent in the body of the microwave and we had to rush back to the store to report this .


After waiting for more than an hour we were told by Harshal that the same model is not currently available for replacement and hence was offered an upgraded model as there was no stock of the same model from any of the reputed brands (without having to pay any extra cost as promised earlier).


Though we offered to wait for a day for the same model yet they could not commit on the delivery of the same. Hence we agreed to go for the upgraded model though that was not our preferred brand.


But later we were told by Harshal ( Store Manager)that since this is an upgraded model ( which was offered by them ) we would have to pay the differential price for the same.


After all this chaos for almost 2 hrs we final reached our peak of tolerance and tired and frustrated we had to take the refund for the microwave and come back home.


Just wanted to bring to your notice the sad state of service standards at Croma outlet at the Belapur Store and no one seems to be sorry of all the pain and harassment the customers are subjected to due their negligence.


There were more items which I needed to purchase as I am setting up a new home but unfortunately today I regret to inform that my family and me have been dreaded by the service and attitude of Staff at the Croma store to consider any further purchase from the store in future.
