I was waiting dearly for release od Harry Potter and deathly hallows part 2. So we decided to book the nearest theatre the weekend movie released. As the movie was created in 2D and then 3D effects were added, We thought to see 2D movie only.After checking it was only SRS cinemas in celebrations mall Gurgaon who were offering 2D movie. On Saturday eve with high hopes we reached the cinema.First the mall itself is not mall yet, only celebration and reception hall is there. So no eateries, nothing cheerful about the mall. We did not notice the omens.When we reached at the entrance of multiplex we were told it is a 3D movie and they are sorry for inconvenience. We were given two options now:
1) You can see some other movie some other day. So crash the hopes for HP for now and drive again some other day for some other movie(remember I mentioned nothing else to enjoy of as an empty mall).No I can not accept that
2)Buy a poor quality 3D "chashma" for 20 Rs each.These 3D chashmas were made of paper(my 1 year old son has a better toy chashma) and you will win a crores’ bet if you could see through them.Everything was blurry. I should get a superfan title that just to hear the full movie I paid 220 bucks each.
My husband was really angry and ready to fight with those guys but I did not want to miss hearing the movie. So for the love of J.K.Rowling, 440 bucks donated to srs cinemas.
If you have no other option than srs cinemas nearby, sit home and relax rather than watching(oops! listening) a bad quality super movie.
