WHY USE A SCRUB??
With our skin being constantly bombarded with atmospheric pollutants, all of which accumulate & make the skin dull & lifeless, a facial scrub counteracts this by ’’gently scrubbing away the debris to reveal clean, fresh, healthy skin beneath..’’
Well, that was what this product claimed to do, which sounded quite a valid reason for me to try it out!!
Its been a few years since I’ve been using this product & till date, I have very little to complain about it!!
Used as a once-a-day routine (at bed time ), it did help to rejuvenate my skin to a certain extent, leaving it tingling fresh, smooth textured & soft with a nice mild lingering fragrance. It is also quite effective in reducing & preventing blackheads when used regularly. All this, without the dry, stretched feeling that one gets after washing ones face with soap.
The scrub has a natural cleansing fibre with an elder flower lotion as base, which washes away easily with water. Most of the ingredients used are natural botanical products & the scrub is very mildly perfumed. Also, it helps to know that all of St.Ives products are not tested on animals (so all animal lovers out there, take note!!!! )
I would recommend this product chiefly for oily to normal skin. A dry, sensitive is not suitable for most facial scrubs.
Actually, it would help if the product is available in smaller packs....at present, it is available as a 170 gm tube (in Mumbai, as far as I know ), which lasts & lasts & lasts...not very tempting for a trial, is it??
But anyway, I’ve had a good experience with it so why dont you try it too?? I certainly don’t guarantee you a ’’hollywood face’’ once you have scrubbed off all the superficial cells( !! ), but it does go a long way in washing away all the unwanted dead cells to reveal healthier, glowing skin, all set to face the onslaught of another day!!
