As a Proud (to the point of chauvanistic egoism) Ex-Stanislite, my personal experiences will probably color this Review with self-indulgent nostalgia. Still, youthful enthusiasm aside, St. Stanislaus has been a very important Institution in my life. It was at this Jesuit-managened All-Boys School that I picked up a whole gamut of skills and mannerisms which constitute my Adult Personality. The prescribed syllabus was amply shored up with Sports (St. S. Hockey Teams Rock!), Boy Scouts/ P.T. and Religion/ Morals education. The finer arts were also covered with Arts & Crafts, Home Sciences (for Boys!)and a well-stocked library.
The Educational Staff were all on the whole an experienced and enthusiastic bunch, with just a couple of eccentric Teachers all schools seem to inherit. Discipline was strong -Principals office had a nice collection of five canes- but Students were also appreciated. Non-formal education like Electoral Practice and Team-Work were amply demonstrated.
And it was not all Work: St. Stanislaus is the only High School I am aware of that has its own Swimming Pool!!
All in all, an excellent School for those who believe their kids need an excellent English-language education, with the additional advantage of a known School.
