Thoms Bakery & Supermarket is located on Wheeler Rd(Nr East End Petrol Pump), Frazer town at a busy intersection. You cannot miss it.
We first found ourselves there when we were passing by the area(simply lured by the smell of bread. irresistible!)
It’s crowded on most days and parking outside is a bit of a nuisance since there is some working going on at the junction. This is a department store with practically everything you need packed into a small space so the aisles are cramped but you will find almost everything you need under 1 roof.
Bakery: The best time to go would be in the early evening or in the morning as that’s when you have a chance of getting your hands on their fantastic samosas. Most of it is over by late evening. I also highly recommend the sausage bread/ long buns & the doughnuts. Beside’s the bakery items if you like snacks do try the green chakli and the banana chips.
Supermarket items: you get desi as well as imported versions of everything from jams to cereal to toiletries. You also get many regional brands of south Indian food items(masalas and mixes). Vegetables are fresh and packed well(though they do charge premium prices). They also have the usual house cleaning items, frozen foods(veg and non veg) & an alcohol section.
Service: the billing is very quick and efficient.
It’s no surprise that this shop is always crowded(my guess is that most of the Frazer town/Cox town public shops here). It’s really convenient and their products are great!
