A copule of years ago, SCB, through one of its DSA’s offered me a free for life Cricket Credit Card whihc would give special discounts on AIr Sahar fligts if India won a cricket match the previous day. After couple of years, SCB realised that the card should be charged with annual fees and strted sending me bils. I had not made even one purchase on this card. THerefater, I wrote them several times that if fees is charged, I do not need the card. This was through letters to their Bangalore office as well as calls to customers ervice centers. I asked them to cancel the card if they were not willing to waive the fees. Then, they have sent me a letter stating that my name will be puit on ’bad credit’ list. This is inspite of me holding a SCB Gold card with a ZERO outstanding on it. Strange are the ways of SCB.
Hope some one from SCB wakes up to reality that there is competition in Idnia and fancy of one bank alone will not work.
