I am using Standard Chartered Credit Card from last 6-7 years, sometimes back they called for converting my outstanding in EMI, I agreed, the EMI was in the range of 675-700, I used to pay in cash at the counter. All of a sudden they have started charging Rs.99 for accepting cash on the counter. This is EXTORTION. I do not have any other option but to carry on till all the EMI’s are over. Does our country have any authority where these grievances are heard and a solution provided? This bank should be kicked out of the country. When I called to settle all my outstanding EMI so that I can discontinue the card I was told to pay a preclosure charges and what not. The banks of such repute acting like dacoits are really surprising. Government and RBI should take stern steps in the interest of the consumers at large. The poor customers left at the mercy of such dubious management who have the sole objective of looting the public should be severely penalized
