Say FO!!! To instabuy pack from Standard Chartered

If you own any Std Chartd Credit Card, please be careful. You will get a call from explaining the so called "Instabuy Pack" addon card. They will explain all discounts and condition for cancelling if we don’t like it. DON’T EVER OPT FOR THIS INSTABUY PACK.


I’ve taken it, cancelled and returned the kit within 30days. As per their condition, if I return it within 30days, there will not be any cancellation charges and whole money will be refunded.


In my case, they have returned only the base cost of 4000/- and there was some service charge of 300/- or something. Then I called up their customer service (WORLD’S WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE). They were not able to explain me why I’ve to pay this 300/-. They told they are escalating to concerned dept. Then every time I call them, a different person will be attending the call. No one was able to help me with this. Like this one month gone and their nice late charges & late fee & interest ...(I think they didn’t get any other word, otherwise they will include that and put an amount there) made my 300/- to 1200/-


Then I started sending mail to their customer care email address. No use, they are just checking my bill and asking me to pay the amount as if I’m blind and can’t read by CC bill. Another funny thing is, you are wait for minimum 10 days for their reply. So, my 3 mails completed another month. Here comes.. the same... late charges & late fee & interest ... 2400/- pls note that my card is already blocked and they are charging all these for a blocked and unusable card.


Then finally I thought of going to their MG Road, Bangalore branch and discuss with some human being there. I was shocked by the experience there. I went to meet their concerned manager, and she didn’t even entertain me. Some junior guy came to me and explained... this may be some mistake from their end, but he asked me to follow up it with the above WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE.


Also, he was saying don’t pay this amount, once it became 5000/- their collectors will come to meet me, that time I can discuss it with them.


I didn’t want to take any chance and end up in paying 5000/- So finally I paid 2400/- just for attending and entertaining the so called INSTABUY PACK....


Still I’m waiting for my card cancellation to occur. They are simply delaying the cancellation process. You should have a legal adviser to deal with these guys, otherwise they won’t listen to you at all.


VERY VERY VERY POOR BANKING SERVICE !!!!!!!!!!
