Sharing my first bad experience and due to of that stress & anger I decided to write my first review as well.
I had a very bad experience with Staples (Marathahalli) for their poor quality service. I am owning a DELL laptop and had issues with motherboard. As the case is sensitive, I plan to choose branded shop of STAPLES for the fair service which I sacred to go small service centers to avoid malpractice/misuse of my product. But never expected that I trap myself into STAPLES.
First of all the service persons at desk are not at all fully qualified to handle even intermediate issues. The service desk fellow promised to inform about the technical issue & estimation within 2 days but they took 5 days.
Next he said it costs 5000 to repair and it will take another 5 days including for testing period after fixing the issue, then I agreed to proceed. But the fate again after 5 days they declared that motherboard can’t be rectified with new components, so it has to be fully replaced by new motherboard. That too they said with hyped cost of extra 2000 while comparing market price. So I withdraw the service with them and demanded to return back my laptop. The pity thing, they have taken 2 days just to return back my
Laptop saying kidde reason that it need time to assemble back all the parts in laptop.
The real story begins when I have given to another small service center, they noticed me some scratches in LCD which I felt its kind of minor stain. And later they also complained that one my chip number was scratched deliberately so it’s difficult to find the exact replacement of that chip. Finally they have fixed issue with just extra parts of cost 5500.rs.
Finally the highlight portion is that I found that small scratches on my LCD center portion is fully visible at bigger size and distracting the vision when it powered on.
I got the good complimentary of LCD scratches for choosing the great Staples store. So either they are wholly incapable persons to fix the problem or pretending to replace whole motherboard to swallow our hard earning money by just replacing only parts. I believe they are kind of later case.
Of all these game, it took one month of stress to complete job.
