STAR CJ - Poor Customer Service

I was watching TV on a weekend, 14th Aug 2010 and was changing channels to pass the time. I chanced upon watching Star CJ. In the the TV telecast they were offering Samsung Metro 3 G phone at INR 5299 with Giordano watch, Mobile Pouch and 2 GB Memory card as free gift as Independence Day offer. I could not believe that any one can sell product below MRP with free gifts. But as in the telecast the payment mode was cash on delivery I decided to book the phone.


I booked the phone on 14th Aug 2010 and was promised that I will receive the phone in 5 working days. I received the call from the vendor on monday , 16th Aug 2010, asking me when they can deliver the product. I mentioned them they can come today itself but they told me that they will come tomorrow. 1 week passed by but I did not received the phone. I called up Customer Care to check as 5 working days had also passed by. They took my complaint and said it will be resolved by next day.


I waited for 3 days and still did not received the product. I called the customer care and they again took my complaint and promised to deliver by next day. Which did not happened again. This continue for some time and finally I lost my patience and cancelled the order on 4th Sep. Only good thing was as I had not paid them before so I did not lost any money. Only time and phone calls got wasted.


I will advice members to be carefull while dealing with them.
