You can see the contest on Star1 TV or can read about this contest in Reality TV Magazine or Reality TV. I believe Star1 is one of the best watched TV stations in Asia. They have programs for children, teenagers and adults. The often show American TV shows. When I was in South Korea this was the TV station I enjoyed watching. CBS also sold this TV show to Sun1 in the UK, a TV station in Australia and in Germany ZDF TV. TV stations that aren’t in Canada or the USA will begin seeing the show in October.
There World Tour will start in January, 2006.
A New Series
INXS is one of the great rock bands. They were all from Australia and began singing Sydney’s Northern beaches in August 1977, Michael Hutchence, Kirk Pengilly, Garry Beers, Tim Farriss, Andrew Farriss and Jon Farriss worked together for 25 years.
During the Olympic Games in 2000 the preformed at the closing ceremonies. They have played on stage live 4, 000 times and sold over 30 million albums. Suddenly their lead singer, Michael Hutchence committed suicide and it took them a while to get over this tragic death.
The Show
When they were ready to sing again they asked Mark Burnett, (the producer of The Apprentice and the Survivor series), to find some one new. Dave Navarro, (from the Red Hot Chili Peppers), would guide the aspiring stars and occasional strum his guitar on stage with them. Brooke Burke, (from the Wild On), was the host. After a few weeks Brooke separated from her husband but you’d never know it because the show had to go on.
On CTV that picked up the program from CBS, during the summer we have been watching and voting to select who will be the next lead singer for INXS.
Mig was from Australia, (but he had appeared in London’s Musicals). Dana, Ty, Wil, Neal, Brandon, Jordis and Jessica were from the United States and Daphna, Deanna, Tara, Suzie and J.D. were from Canada.
The Rockers went through clinics to teach them what was needed to become a rock star. They were interviewed to see how they would be able to handle the media, and had to compose one song.
They lived in a mansion in Los Angeles and this made them feel like stars.
The last four were Suzie, Mig, Marty and J. D. Fortune.
Susie was the best singer, Mig was the voters favorite and Marty and J.D. both could sing but more importantly they could write music.
The final two were Marty and J. D. INXS is beginning a World Tour and the choose J.D. to be their lead singer but asked Marty to join them on the tour.
INXS has a Canadian lead singer and you are going to love his style of singing.
Jason Dean Bennison was born 32 years ago in Saltsprings, Nova Scotia. His father died and his mother work at two jobs to keep the family together. J.D. went to school and took care of his younger sister.
He moved to Oakville, Ontario and began to sing for the Stars On Ice show. He also did Elvis Presley imitations and wrote songs for a TV show. With these three jobs he was able to send money to his mother.
To honor is mother he uses her maiden name, (Fortune), when he entered the contest.
He has already recorded some songs on the albums called Beyblade, Let It Rip! The Official Album and sang one song called Always Be In The Game.
There new album Switch will be on the shelves in November 2005.
