Shakalaka Boom-boom, Sonpari, Fox kids are very famous among the kids.
There is no dearth of serails for women on Star Plus. The most loved ones include - Kyunki Saans bhi kabhi bahu thi, Kahani Ghar Ghar ki, Kasauti Zindagi Ki, Desh mein Nikla hoga chaand, Kumkum, Bhabhi.
For Gen-Y it has game shows like ’Kuch kar dikhaana hai.’
The serails like ’Kyun hota hai pyar’ & ’Sanjeevni’ adds a pinch of romance.
To add some fun & frolic to the platter it has ’Khichdi’ - a very unique comedy show.
Not only this, it has some spiritual serials too, making people aware of the Indian culture & religion. ’Yatra’ is one such serial which takes us into the journey of a holy place away from the tensions of todays chaotic world.
There are many ’firsts’ to the credit of Star Plus.
It was the first ever channel to invite Mr.Amitabh Bachchan for hosting a game show - which was again one of its kind & very different from other game shows. I am talking about KBC - how can we forget the hype it created. Most of the channels tried to imitate but all failed. No other show got the success that KBC got.
Now, recently, Star Plus pioneered yet again by introducing a new concept - Star Parivaar Awards. That was a huge success and got appreciation from all. These were not like ordinary television awards. The award was given to the character and not the artist. Sounds quite innovative!! Isn’t it??
The characters of the Star Plus serials have become more or less like family members of those who watch it. People discuss the lives of Tulsi, Prerna, Komolika......the list is not exhaustive.
Star Plus has definitely created cordial relationship with all its viewers. No doubt, its the numero uno channel.
