'kyuki...' epic of kalyyug???

If there’s any great epic after ramayana and mahabharata, it is

’kyuki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi!

However, I am not conerned about its content, I m only concerned with its length, and

Considering that I fear that this one can dare to surpass any other great epic.

kyuki . revolves around  ekta kapoor’s astounding creation of mihir-tulsi pair that

reflects legendary love-stories of radha-krishna or ram-sita. they are bind together

with such eternal bonding that even after 20 years of her banavaas in Haridwar

tulsi returns back safe & sound in her so called paradise’Shantiniketan’.

And ekta kapoor’s messege goes that even death fears to depart such elevated souls

on earth and they continues to live ever after, always fighting for the truth in

kalyyug and gaining their life-force from their secreat of energy’thakurji’.

Like we have in ramayana, devil ravana the root cause of all troubles caused to

Simple men. in kyuki . we see a ravana in disguise of a woman named mandira.

here mandira keeps hurling with all nonsense at the protagonist character

Tulsi which results in tulsi’s initial defeat but emerges as a victor at the

end. but the twist in the serial which never happens in ramayana, is that neither

Tulsi dies nor does her rival mandira gets a break from taking her revenge.

also, unlike ramayana/mahabharata which have two rival groups fighting, one

in support of the right and the other for the wrong, in kyuki. we usually see

conspiracies taking place amongst the family members whose final target is to stab

their saans/bahu/maa/dadi tulsi.

However, kyuki.  is a greatest hit as a family daily-soap with all ingrediants of

Human emotions-laughter, comedy, dramatic tragedy, celebrations, relationships,

Unstoping tears, powerful dialogues, and overall, india showed in microcosm

under the roof of Shantiniketan. but the question lies in the polygamy

& polyandry shown among the members existing in Shantiniketan- is this the

influence of west or  is it the ancient Hindu-tradition of Swayamvara

Brought back? what does the embodiment of’dharma’, tulsi have to say in this

respect?
