I have been watching SVOI from the time it started.Initially, all went well and I really looked forward to this event\ every Friday and Saturday.
However, the true worth of this program showed up once ten were in the fray. It was very clear that the most versatile voice among ladies was Sumitra’s..and among the men, Harshit, Toshi and Irfan with Abhaas deserving some credit for his capabilities at his age.
However, some shocking eliminations coupled with the most unprofessional approach by the Prithvi team viz. Abhijeet and Madam Alka Yagnik gave us the feel that this indeed is a reality show...reality because politics plays a vital role in our country’s affairs..be it governance or at work !!!
Ms Yagnik first wanted to re audition Priyani just before the Bemisaal Baraah was to be announced. And just three episodes later she proudly proclaims Priyani as the Voice Of India.
Forgetting her lines twice still got Abhilasha a place in the top five, some undercover moves got Priyani back with her 1500W smile, and eventually, some large scale voting by the northern part of the country gets Ishmeet the title.
There is thus the Amul Star Voice Of Punjab and Haryana Ishmeet Singh and the Amul Star Voice Of Rest Of India Harshit Saxena.
To sum up, this reality show has really demonstrated stark reality ie. politics has the upperhand everywhere.
Amul , and Star had better refrain from endorsing such shows.
No offence meant here, but compare this event with the Hero Honda Sare Gama Pa, where the most deserving contestants got to the end. Events like SaReGaMaPa spread a positive message while ones like Star Voice Of India only make minds corrupt and scheming !!!!
