STARDUST is probably one of the worst magazines I have come across and it is the last thing i’ld pick to read.The magazine is full of gossips and rumours, and they stress less on the film news and more on whats happening in a actor\actress personal life and that really bugs me.
Why do they have to stoop to such levels to sell their magazines.Stardust people cook up stories and write them without enough proof or reasons, and sometimes there are such baseless stories that it makes me laugh.I read sometimes back an Aishwarya rai\Salman khan story where they wrote how Salman harrased Ash and her family and how they were so mentally depressed bcoz of this torture, it was sick to say the least.Even recently I read an article on Hrithik-Kareena affair and I was shocked to read what they had written.Infact more then being shocked I felt like laughing reading it.The article on their so called affair made no sense to me but with such an article they were able to attract a lot of readers and thats what they want.I have also noticed that they tend to write negative articles on actors who don’t give interviews for their mag, particularly Aamir khan.How sick.
They want their magazines to sell even if they have to take help of these cheap gimmicks.I think its no right of their to peep into the personal life of the stars.There is a good and positive side of Bollywood too, why not write something about it?Why not write about the contribution of some of the unknown people of the film industry?But they won’t do it b’coz their aim is too sell their magazines and nothing else.
Though there are certain columns in Stardust which I enjoy reading like Neeta’s Natter, Straight talk and Celeb talk but if given a chance i’ld prefer reading Filmfare anyday b’coz their mag is not full of malicious gossips, like Stardust.
