The State Bank Of India or SBI for short is a government affiliated bank that was supposedly opened for the common people of india.
I have been an account holder for over a year now and am utterly dissapointed with their customer services.
Mainly their front office staffs are unwilling to cooperate with the customers regarding any issues that may arise. They are simply lazy too lazy to cooperate.
Then comes the issues with net banking and other mobile banking features-
The net banking portal is slow and crashes frequently showing failed transactions every now and then.
The process is cumbersome as you have to fill up forms over and over again to process transactions through their online site and portals.
Form submission sometimes takes a while online.
There are no such issues with mobile banking via payTm or such e-wallets except sometimes their OTP verification shows error messages even when correct OTP is entered. I have not used the mobile app due to its lack of efficiency that is prominently visible on its webiste so will not make any comments regarding it.
SBI ATMs are available in all places where I have been so far. Hence I have got no complaints regarding its ATM machine distribution across different parts of the city.
A major issue with its ATMs is that they are mostly old and way too slow and outdated thus, transactions are not instant.
Another issue is that with its minimum balance regulation that has been newly applied, according to which the minimum balance of every account should be 6000 or more but not less than that. If this condition is not fulfilled then they will deduct a certain small percentage as service fee which is absolutely outrageous.
These are the problems with SBI and I would suggest you not to open an account if you have not yet, or invest here any further.
