Wanted to share with friends here, what we call the lethargy of the government staff and their competence
I had been to the panvel branch of SBI, to get a form for issuing a atm card, and to introduce I banking searched for a while then came to know that it has to be collected from a counter who was adressing a few of customers already in the queue, so u collect the form and if you have to apply for a atm card u cant apply in the branch as you got to go to your branch where you started your account . what is the point of technology all about if you cant bridge the gap how could u expect a guy to use the advantage of SBI claiming to have 10, 000 branches across india . If he as a customer cannot use the advantages of banking with the so called biggest bank of India.
As I needed to have the atm card, I went to their deonar branch where I have my account, the biggest irony you can call it, at the teller I saw the cashier counting the currencies by hand twice before he debited or credited the account of the customer and the Currency counting machine was lying idle on the table as a showpiece.
You could be secured doing banking with SBI, but the employeers of the Largest and Biggest bank has to pull up their socks by guidance from their management to upgrade themselves to match the services of private sector banks as ICICI or HDFC etc etc.
