I opened SBI account 2 months back , and now the service is so abd that I am closing this account next week.The staff in branch is very uncooperative, full of egos and act as if they have not heard what you tell to them.
We need to visit a branch to change the debit card PIN if we have forgotten it.They also dont have a format for the same.
If we submit a letter then they give us PIN after 20 days.We cannot get information from the phone customer care agents.Once I called them and asked about the postal address of the branch and they said that the database is not upgraded with that particular branch address.
Even to change internet password they take 15 days and require a letter in writing.One of my friend had withdrawn 10000 rs from other bank atm which SBII had a tie up.Next day he found that 20000 rs have been deducted.6 months have passed he and his family members are visiting the SBI branch, and the only answer friend gets is that we are checking about the same.
I definitely made a mistake in opening the account as I also had serivce related issues due to typical govermnt like attitude and policies of doing work.
