I am not an SBI hater since it provides me with the best home loan rates and cheapest facilities but that being said I have an observation. Something that I always pull my hair and wish a senior SBI official listens to me.
I am one of those millions of Indians who work at a location away from home.
All other banks allow to do transactions online or over phone but I am not able to understand why SBI is insisting on visiting the home branch each time for any transaction in this globalization era.
One instance that comes to mind is when I lost my debit card and have requested for a new card they had insisted that I visit my home branch. There are many other scenarios where the bank insists on visiting the home branch to complete a transaction. Why have online banking and phone banking if that is the case.
I would say, SBI bank needs to grow up!
