I visited 2 to 3 times to SBI , BTM Layout Branch in Bangalore. But the response I got from them was really very rude. Now there are so many private banks but these people don’t care about this. And I think its a nationalize bank so they don’t care weather the customer is happy or not.
I went there b’ase I wanted to open RD account and wanted to put some FD.
First time I went with my mother. We went from one counter to another counter but nobody bothered to give proper directions. And all ladies kept on talking with us in Kannada (I don’t know if it was any other language). We insisted to talk in English or Hindi. At that time they gave us strange look.
They told me to go on counter 2 first.
So We went there. I told I wanted to open RD. The lady over there told me to open Savings account first. and gave me the form. That form was of 6-8 pages. I filled up the form and went there. She told me to go to Counter 9. I went to Counter 9. The guy over there told me that there is no need to open the Savings account if you want to open acc for RD. He told me to go again to counter 2 and collect the form. So there was no proper direction. After 1 hour I went back to home with that form and without opening any account. The next sunday I went again. Again I went to counter 9. This time I got more rude response. The guy over there told me that he didn’t have time to open the account and told me to come after 5-6 hours.
Now I decided never to go to SBI. And In future I would not like to do any transaction with this sort of bank.
Hope this info will will be useful to you. If their behaviour before opening account is like this then God also can not save us after opening the account.
