It been 4 months since I placed my cheque book request at the SBI branch on EAST STREET, Pune on 1st March 2013 and 7 visits in the past 4 months to get a cheque book repeatedly. I have followed up as a customer enough and the branch people are simple ruthless and with poor customer service they just scored a ZERO. I lost my patience and actually wanted to know WHAT THE HELL IS TAKING 4 MONTHS LOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGG. After all the lower level clarification and hoping desk to desk to know about the status I finally went to the BRANCH HEAD - Mr. V.H Headaoo who simply amazed my unwell mom and me to the core.
He never looked up when we complained about the scenario and demanded a cheque book and neither did he get up from his chair to help us solve the issue. Simple said I got to do nothing with it and please dont ask me all this. And if the senior level was so horribly shocking imagine the lower lever staff under him. After some computer clicks in their super awesome snail speed software they had no clue about my cheque book and the counter handing female Ms SMITA handed me a SPEEDPOST TRACKING ID of the couriered cheque book and said please do to the POST OFFICE and find it there. I lost my cool and patience completely. WHY SHOULD I GO TO THE POST OFFICE. IS IT MY DUTY.seriously? I was amazed for the 1st time some bank has asked me to go to the post office to get a cheque book rather than it coming to me like all the banks. ICICI or HDFC. strange and been bullied at the branch for an hour and with NO HELP from any one.
The end is I still dont have a cheque book and I regret every minute wasted over the SBI Branch. and if some1 can help please let me know.:( #high of disappointment #angry with the sarkari attitude #poor customer service
