Why So Slow ?

Okay, so let’s all admit that SBI is like one of those relatives which we never wanted but we all have one. One of the oldest banks in India and possibly available at every corner of India is SBI. It’s a government bank so you can trust it’s legitimacy but at the same time expect it to be slow just like any other government office in India.

I have been using SBI for a long time and I can say that the way the bank is evolving is good but it needs to be more fast and quick in adapting to the newer technologies and customer requirements.

PROS :

Since it’s a government owned bank, documents associated with this bank hold legitimate and can be useful for many purposes.

If you are a government employee then this bank has some good financial plans for you.

It’s branches and ATM’s can be almost found everywhere across the country.

CONS :

The banks services are very slow. You have to really wait for longer time and in longer queues to get your work done.

I don’t know why but most of the employees look like one of those neighborhood annoying uncle who just can’t reply to you politely.

They do not have good interest rates to pay back for your savings compared to other banks in the market.

Everybody is rude in their office.

Their online services suck. And net banking is another struggle.

Their customer despute redressal mechanism is also very slow and outdated.

When compared to other banks, the services that they provide is pretty less.

Their mobile banking app sucks again.

Conclusion :

Unless you do not have any other option then only go for it otherwise it’s better if you can look out for some other bank cause sometimes when there’s any urgency SBI will not fail to disappoint you.

Thank You.
