I requested Bank to reset my internet banking password by submitting relevant form.The your branch provided me a kit. Provided instruction are to use old LoginId & New password mentioned within the kit.
The attempt to login with provided details & as per instruction failed on
19 Nov 2012.Subsequently I visited branch on 19 Nov 2012 to found out the kit is not activated on 17 Nov 2012 hence non-functional.
Concerned person told me this will be activated today, try afterward as per new instruction I tried to login on 20 Nov 2012 that one also failed.
I tried to call the branch but call was not answered first so I put complain regarding this through online sbi portal
After submitting complaint, I again called to your branch.Though my query has been heard and promised me to come back to me soon, till today no communication has been made by branch nor does CSG (Customer Service Group) my query is still pending.
CSG team whenever contacted ask to contact home branch, If CSG is cant himself retrieve relevant information within its own organization to help customer, what is need of having Customer Support.
Many banks let us reset internet banking password by using registered email Id & password yet in case of SBI you have to go to home branch, If core banking is in place why any one need to go to home branch to reset his passwords online password reset system is based on courier where new password reset kit is send to you through courier.
Any simple task with SBI like resetting internet banking password is time consuming, non reliable as mentioned in my case I got non-functional password reset kit.I cant understand why there should be such inefficiency in workings public sector bank.
Govt. Of India should look into making these organization public oriented and responsive to customer
