So where should we begin from, those who have seen the previous installments of the movie may well be aware about a certain CHANNING TATUM.well dont get overly excited because he is nowhere in sight in this movie.
PLOT As seen in the previous versions of the franchise, its all about a dancer, deserted by any kinda luck, struggling his way through trying to achieve his dreams. Along his way to glory our hero learns some new lessons about life and love. But to be fairly honest who does actually care about the plot, what everyone does expect from the movie is electrifying dancing.
So the movie revolves around sean, our hero from the previous movie. Apparently sean’s crew experience hardship in LA, and decide to head back to Miami. But sean decides to stay back and pursue his dreams. He decides to take part in a dance reality show in Las vegas; he takes help from Moose to put together a new team and along the way falls for Andie; an injured dancer who struggles to overcome her fears.
The movie has way too much talking rather than the dancing that everyone expects.
Acting: The Acting in the movie leaves a lot to be desired; some of the dialogue delivery is really pathetic For example, the lead actor Sean(Guzman) has to mouth lines like: "Theres a magic that happens when you dance. The world is in sync and, for one perfect moment, you feel alive." It make you wish for them to just do a little less talking and more dancing.; but then again we remind ourselves that they are starring here due to their dancing qualities much more than their acting; but how I wish they could have been a little better.
Dancing: This is the part were we feel our money isnt all going to waste; specially the last act really makes sense you sit upright and enjoy the show. Andie and Sean do great with their respective moves and truth be told, their onscreen chemistry does sizzle, the support act is not far behind.
Conclusion: All in all its a fairly okay entertainer if you are a fan of some electrifying dance moves; story wise the story is not at all up to the mark; but for these kind of movies its better to leave your thinking hat at home and enjoy the show.
