There are lots of stories about how sterling holidays is cheating with people already here, and here is mine -
I got some mail from indusind bank about offer with their credit card if I buy a sterling holidays membership. I was curious and wanted to know more about the plan as I was going to be married soon, So I showed interest on it and got a call next day from Akhilesh Singh(akhilesh.singh@sterlingholidays.com) and he told me he will be sending another guy Pawan Kumar(pawan.s@sterlingholidays.com) to explain more about the plan . The guy came next Saturday and explained me the details, I was not sure about I would be taking it or not So I told him I will let you know in few days. That guy told me that this offer is for today only and we have to block this offer for you, Otherwise you wont be able to claim this. I asked him to go ahead and block that offer, As I was not sure what that mean. He asked for my indusind credit card to check if I can avail the offer. My bad, I have given him the credit card as there was no discussion about charging any amount to my credit card.
So Pawan called Akhilesh who was ready to loot me and they charged me Rs 20, 644 rupees, Which I came to know from the message I got from the bank. I was angry and told him that this charge was false and I am not going to sign on the receipt or anywhere and I will file a complain in police station. Pawan was almost crying when I told that and he said I will be jobless, blah blah, please sign on it. He promised me that I will get my money back but please dont get me into trouble, So I got some mercy and signed on that receipt.
So from that day it all started. I asked from both of them what I can do to get my money back. They didnt told me anything. I was calling them almost everyday but they didnt told me about cancellation procedure or anything until 15 days passed and I got some joining kit from sterling holidays. I called akhilesh and told him I dont want you joining kit or whatever, I simply want my money back . So that guy told me me you had to send mail to feedback@sterlingholidays.com within 15 days but now it can not be cancelled and your money is gone. But thank god I had already sent a mail next day when that fraud happened and as a proof I had mail from sterling holidays. I immediately blocked my credit card to avoid any more charges.
So its more than one year now, I have sent tons of mails to get my money back but I am not getting any replies on those mails though I get message and calls every month about EMI they are adding on my behalf. If I tell them I am trying to cancel whatever you call a membership, they simply say you have not requested for cancellation and we dont have any such mails. Their Mumbai office is good for nothing, Nobody is there to talk to you if you are asking about your money.
