I watched Stree 2 just a few days ago. Initially, it felt promising and quite interesting, but as the story progressed, everything started to feel like a confusing mess. The moment Jana (played by Abhishek Banerjee) entered, the plot began to lose its charm. Later, when Shraddha Kapoor made her entry, the storyline became even more tangled. One by one, more witches appeared, and then it was revealed that Shraddha’s character was actually the daughter of one of them.
While that twist had potential, it still couldn’t save the film. I was most perplexed by the inclusion of unnecessary Bhediya elements. The need to combine the two universes made no sense to me because it seemed forced and unsuited. Even some of the dialogues failed to have the intended effect, and the narrative lacked depth. There were moments that had potential, but they didn’t live up to the expectations set by the original Stree.
Honestly, I felt a disconnect with the narrative. It lacked the sharp wit, fear factor, and charm of the first film. So, I would personally rate this movie 2.5 stars out of 5. It looked promising, but it didn’t work out.
