Heartbreaking

This story takes an in-depth look at the lives of the homeless people through the eyes of rising lawyer at a top law firm in Washington D.C.

One day, Michael Brock walks in to work and finds himself, and some other vip’s of the firm being held hostage by a homeless man. When it’s over, Michael decides to give up his career and money and work ’’pro bono’’ at a little firm that helps the homeless in legal matters. Even though his salary has been cut in half and his already failing marraige is over, he persists in his new job and ends up going head to head with his former firm.

This story was sad, as it gave a shocking look into the situation of homeless people in America. After I read this, I couldn’t believe how terrible the problem really was. It made me cry to think how heartless and callous people could be.

This story will certainly make me think twice when I pass a homeless person on the streets.
