Styx seems to be gaining popularity over the years for more than one reason....good music (metal/hard rock) mostly, a good crowd and good beer(tap is best). I havent tried any other liquors there.....but stick to the beer.
Music is definitely not for the feeble heart and the feeble ear. Its gonna rip you apart. The audio arrangement is good with a good setup. The main reason for styx to gain popularity, I feel, is the DJ plays his own music and he never lets you down. Unlike other pubs, where requests can spoil your evening ....its a very strict filter done by the dj.....so out go folks who want rasmus, bryan adams, bon jovi etc etc.
The service staff is ok, food is pretty decent...but the seating isnt too good (especially if you arent sitting in the main lounge)...the 2 seaters are a pain and so are the rack seats. AVOID them.
2 DJs are vgood....Sean is vv good and so is the other guy.
So folks who want good music, STYX is good choice . Go and enjoy your weekend.
Cheers.
