I am from Chennai and I have been using various brands of inverter for the past six years and last year changed over to Su Kam on the insistence of my dealer. I bought the Su Kam inverter along with the Su Kam battery last year
Everything was fine for about ten months and after that the duration of the backup got reduced considerably. At present the duration with only one fan and one light does not even come to half hour. My dealer came and checked the setup and informed me that the battery has gone out and needs replacement. Since the battery is under warranty, it has be replaced by Su Kam.
A complaint was lodged with Su Kam on Jun/06. Since nothing happened for a couple of days, I called up Su Kam on Jun/08 and was told that the complaint has been escalated to the service centre at Chennai and would be attended by that day itself. Nothing happened and I again called up customer care at Su Kam on Jun/11 only to be told the same story.
In the meanwhile I got the service center number and called them up. They were totally unaware of the complaint and informed me that it would be attended to on Jun/11 itself.
As usual no one turned up till Jun/12. So once again I called up Su Kam to be told the same story again.
No one came up till Jun/13. So once again called the local service centre and they were NOT attending my call. Called up Su Kam and they repeat the same story that some one would attend to my complaint by Jun/13 i.e. on the same day before 6 PM.
06:00 PM came and went and still no one turned up. Worse is, no one even bothered to call me up and inform the status.
I have not come across such a pathetic service from any of the inverter/battery companies I had before. Its high time Su Kam pulled up their service centres OR very soon the companys bottom line is going to reflect the pathetic state.
So anyone going for Su Kam - please bear in mind that as long the equipment is working all is fine and good. The minute some fault crops up, then you are left to fend for yourself. Do NOT expect any support or service from Su Kam.
My complaint is still pending with them. Let me see how long they take to attend to the fault. One is that their batteries dont have the required standard and worse is, they dont even bother to attend to the faults.
