When McDonalds first hit the fast food market, their business was relatively new. Market analysts predicted that the business model was doomed to fail. McDonalds knew otherwise, offering the lowest prices and the fastest service opened up and entirely new niche for their product.
And I have to say, that there was popularity in consistency. Lately, however, that niche has greatly deteriorated and McDonalds is only to blame.
Have you noticed that was used to be service with a smile is now rude, slow and often lacking in general. While I agree that the average person working at McDonalds is not making a career out of it, whatever happened to taking pride in your work?
Have small children and traveling extensively throughout North America and Europe, Ive also noticed that the cleanliness of the restaurants leaves a lot to be desired. The tables are often very dirty, I like to bring my own anti-bacterial wipes with me and clean the tables before eating.
The food itself has deteriorated also. In the state of Florida and Virginia we were served BigMacs with stale buns.
They often run out of the toys that are supplied with their famous Happy Meals. Try explaining that to a toddler.
Their playrooms are often untidy, dirty and all around dangerous.
Quite simply put, if it were not for my children, McDonalds would not be a business that I would support at the moment. At least until they clean up their act.
