All of you may have read the in your face ads in the print and visual media shouting out the limited period offer of a veg patty Sub @ Rs.65 recently.
Well, just to let you know, I had visited their outlet at Inorbit Mall, Malad(W) on the 4th instant and bought the 6" sub with cheese and veggies but no patty @ Rs.90!
Talk of extortion and fake promos. The guy at the counter couldn’t answer when I queried and mumbled something even he wasn’t convinced, the signal being, ’stop asking me something I cannot answer’.
The issue on pricing has been a constant throughout as sometime back, they had advertised a sub at a particular rate with patty, but at the counter, the patty or non-veg equivalent is charged extra.
Advertised rates might be only for those from the advertising fraternity or the store chain promoters family members?
I don’t really want to log in a’No recommendation’ as it has it’s uses/benefits, but would ideally have preferred a’maybe’ option, which isn’t available, so have selected’Yes’.
With new and better options coming up, subway is better advised to stick to the rates advertised or else, save their money and keep it for a rainy day when the competition kicks them out.
