Subways new home baked breads are excellent! Especially the **honey bread rolled in oats**. It lends that *subtle but sweet* home baked taste to the sandwich and is kept in a warmer until ready to serve. Temporarily at my location, are home baked garlic sandwich breads which smell wonderful! There are also several other types of home baked breads as well. While I am not sure if they are exactly made at the restaurant from scratch they do taste wonderful and fresh!
*Interactive Customer Service:*
Service at this location is generally quick, courteous and helpful. There are usually several people ready to take orders and follow through with the entire process offering continuity and quality from start to finish. Customers follow attendants along viewing the whole sandwich making process and interacting to make the sandwich to exact specifications. Thus, making it an **interactive sandwich experience**. Having it your way definitely goes at Subway!
*Visual Preparation:*
I enjoy the fact that you can watch your sandwich being made at Subway and choose all condiments by sight. It is much better than not seeing your food made at all. For example, other restaurants do not prepare food in your presence and there is really no way of telling what went into your food and the conditions of preparation.
*Customer Choice/Multiple Options:*
The choice of condiments is entirely up to the customer.
They have no problem with extras of anything within reason at my local Subway. There is a small fee of about a quarter I believe if extras are excessive. The variety of condiments/extras to choose from are virtually unlimited. The variety includes jalepeno peppers, pickles, onions, black olives, green peppers, cucumbers, banana peppers, vinegar, oil, dijon mustard and horseradish to name some.
Then there are a variety of cheeses including pepper jack, cheddar, mozzarella and even provolone.
Hot and cold sandwich meat choices are offered. The varieties of meat are almost endless. Some of the meat choices are pepperoni, salami, ham, chicken, roast beef, and seafood. Depending on the order these meats are combined.
When I order the Italian BMT with everything on it the Sandwich is huge!
*Healthy Options:*
It is also possible to order a vegetarian sandwich.
I eat at Subway often and many people will enjoy their low-cal options as opposed to greasy fast food with mega calories offered by other fast food chains. However, you must continue to monitor your calorie choices at Subway because obviously the more added meat, cheese and condiments added the higher the calories. Calories are stated for individual sandwichs but would require calculation for extras.
*Menu and Deals:*
As to their menus, they divide them up between whether you would like the ingredients on a wrap or bread. You may order for example seafood and have it on the bread or the wrap etc...foot long or half a foot.
They also offer meal deals that include the sandwich, chips, and unlimited drink refills.
Coupons are offered to collect for a free sandwich with the purchase of a drink, which is very appealing. It doesnt take long to get a free sandwich either. Subway also caters.
For what you get at Subway, it is very economical.. offering lots of food for the deal! I highly recommend Subway!
Pros : Home baked bread, Huge, Interactive Customer Choices
Cons: Dining tables do not accomodate large groups.
